DescriptionThe recently improved version of the SENIS Magnetic Field Mapping System MMS-1-RS/MMS-1A-RS allows a user to do a fast and high resolution mapping of the magnetic field around an electromagnet or permanent magnet. The map of the magnetic field may be given in the form of color coded 2D or 3D isometric visual display on PC screen, as tables of the numerical values of the three components, as the total magnetic field, etc. Due to the unique features of the applied integrated Hall probe, all three components of the magnetic field are measured simultaneously at virtually the same point. Optionally, Hall probe can provide two adjustable measuring ranges (at higher costs). The system is controlled by an extremely easy-touse-software built on MS Windows platform.A Touch Sensor (available as option) prevents a mechanical probe damage. It serves as an emergency stop triggered, whenever an object is touched by the probe during the measurement process. The touch sensor is also utilized for the absolute positioning of measured objects. When touching with probe the characteristic reference points of the measured object, the mapper captures (through touch sensor) the measured object geometry and the absolute position of measured object, relative to the mapper coordinate system. |
